Opening of the Norway Grants programme in Romania
A new funding programme has been launched within the EEA grants mechanism 2009-2014 – “Research within priority areas”, impemented by the Romanian Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding, in partnership with the Research Council of Norway and the Icelandic Centre for Research.
The programme addresses 4 thematic areas Renewable energy; Health and food safety; Environmental protection and management; Social sciences and humanities and has an allocated budget of 21.681.063 euro, with grants of 500.000- 1.500.000 euro.
The programme is addressing Research institutions in Romania and the Donor States, as well as SME’s as part of Joint research projects, with funding rates of up to 100% of the total eligible costs (maximum 70% for SMEs), in compliance with applicable state aid regulations.
Deadline for applications will be 17.01.2014 (23:00 Romanian time).
