55 project proposals submitted under the Business Development and Innovation Programme of the EEA & Norway grants in Croatia.
EUR 19 million was the budget made available to SMEs and large enterprises via the 1st call for project proposals under Business Development and Innovation Croatia, operated by Innovation Norway. The call for proposals opened in June 2020, with funding intensities of up to 80% and grants up to EUR 1.5 million. The deadline for this call for proposals was extended to 17 Nov 2020.
Approximately EUR 46.5 million is the total budget of all submitted applications, with grant amount of EUR 25 million. Around 35% of the projects have a Norwegian partner.
The call for proposals covers 2 focus areas: Green Industry Innovation and Blue Growth. 64% of the applications were submitted under Green Industry Innovation (EUR 10 million grant available) and 35% under Blue Growth (EUR 9 million grant available). In addition to these, one pre-defined project for capacity building with the Croatia Chamber of Economy was submitted.
36% applied for the Small Grants Scheme for up to EUR 200k, with the rest for the Large Scheme for up to EUR 1.5 million.
