EEA & Norway Grants in Latvia – Over 12 million euro for business innovation projects during 2019-2020
12.5 million euro to become available to Latvian companies for business innovation projects during 2019-2020 under EEA&Norway grants. Based on the other similar programmes operated/ enabled by Innovation Norway: 75% of the budget is expected to go to SMEs; 2 funding streams (small projects for grants up to 200Keur, larger projects with grants up to 2Meur/ project); funding intensities up to 70%.
Innovation Norway has published updated information regarding the funding available for businesses on the Latvian Market under the EEA&Norway grants 2014-2021.

The Business Development, Innovation and SMEs programme is a business programme aiming to increase value creation and sustainable growth in Latvia.

Areas of Support and Programme Specifics:
Focus Areas – Based on challenges and needs of the business sector in Latvia, there will be three main focus areas:
– Green Industry Innovation
– ICT
– Welfare Technology
Small Grant Schemes – The small grant scheme for GII and ICT will aim to ensure development of early stage technologies to spur creation of new green and ICT products and services. This can, for instance, be done by cooperating with research organisations.
For Welfare Technology, SMEs’ projects will be supported through open calls for projects in the small grant scheme. Programme support will be provided to micro or small-sized companies operating in the welfare technology sector
