EEA & Norway Grants in Estonia – Over EUR 1 million for small Green ICT projects. Open for applications
Over EUR 1 million will be available for Estonian organisations via the Green ICT Programme for small projects. The objective of the Programme is to increase value creation and sustainable growth in the business sector in Estonia. Green ICT encourages bilateral cooperation projects to strengthen the innovation-led cooperation between Estonia and Norway.
The Green ICT programme operator is the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, whereas Enterprise Estonia acts as an implementing agency and Innovation Norway as a Donor Programme Partner.
The programme strongly encourages bilateral projects between Estonian and Norwegian companies. Such projects will be a priority. Associations, foundations, universities, clusters in Estonia and Norway are also eligible.
This specific grant scheme is a small grant scheme providing funding for conducting surveys, studies, etc., while preparing for the main call for applications. The funding per project is EUR 10-20k, grant rate of up to 75% of total eligible costs. Partner search activities are also supported under this scheme. Duration of the project: up to 4 months. Deadline for applications: 13 May 2019.
The small grant project activities must be ended before applying for a grant in the main call, which will be open in late autumn 2019. The main call will provide grants from EUR 200k to 700k for product development and digitalization of industries and up to EUR 1.25 mil. for welfare technology projects. Funding intensity up to 50% and project duration maximum 36 months.
2 main pillars:
– development of innovative ICT-led green products, services and processes in the area of Green Industry Innovation and ICT (digitalization of industries and product development for ICT-related topics)
– development of new products and services in the area of welfare technology.
